    Hi All,

    Thanks for your patience. I was busy yesterday and I would like to provide you all proper information what I sent to FOIA. Here is the information I got from my folders.
    1) You need to fill the form G-639 to get the I-140 documents.
    2) Provide as much Information as possible about your case. Some of you doesn't have the Receipt Number, they may also fill the form G-639 and provide any other information you have. (Ex: Provide with thorough description of your case in a separate paper.)
    3) After filling the form, Notarise it (Your bank will do it)
    4) Attach all the documents with this form and send it to:

    USCIS National Record Center
    FOIA Division
    PO Box: 648010
    Lee Summit, MO 64064 - 5570

    5) There is no fee to submit this form. You will receive a receipt# within a week how they will process your request.

    6) There is no way your Employer/Lawyer know about it. Its in between you and FOIA Division.

    I feel myself proud to provide all these details to you since I know how difficult to stay with a blody sucking parasite Employer. I spent lot of sleepless nights and I decided to fight with bad/rogue Employers.

    Hi,

    Well, Bush has delivered his address on the immigration subject. Unless I am missing something, not a word was said about the Legal Immigration or the H1Bs. All the focus was on the illegal immigrants and the border enforcement.

    Does that mean that the Legal ones like us are in the backburner? Would the Senate and the house focus only on the illegals and give them the path to citizenship, leaving those who played by the rules, in the lurch? What kind of justice is this in the "Land of Justice"?

    I hope the senators and the representatives are sensible and leave the provisions for the EBs in the proposed bill, alone.

    There is a news in news article thread that Senators Cantwell & Kyl have proposed a amendment which will open up a parallel employer sponsored GC path. Anyone has information regarding this amendment?

    485Mbe4001 thanks for your reply. If you look at visa bulletin - Priority date for EB 3 is 1 Aug 2002. So from your reply, I gather, that they would look at processing all the applications they have on file from 2002 upto 2007 for "Latvia". And only if they end up with some visa numbers remaining due to lack of applicants, will those number be transferred to other countries.... Right??

    you could try getting a letter from university that you had completed all the requirements for your degree in 2000 but your degree was formally awarded in 2002

    The problem is AC21 is speculative rather than definitive. You can give it your own interpretation as USCIS has not come forward with a good distinction between same and similar.

    When you are at the fork of the road, the path of least resistance to GC is a sensible one, that is when you don't have the fear of not getting your GC. It is ultimately up to each one of us.

    Remember I-140 is owned by your employer. If you quit the job your greencard process will start from PERM again with your new employer.
    Portability applys six months after filing I-485.

    Hmmmm - laws are generally framed with generic thumb rules. They cannot be addressed to specific stuff. Visass and restrictions are based on needs and demands and not moods and whims. If USA needs software engineers, then they frame laws to get software engineers - they do not target consulting companies - remember it is we who have issues with consulting companies and it is upto those having issues to deal with them

    But if they want CIR then we cannot be on anti immigant side. If we sit on anti side we loose what ever we will get in CIR. We can educate lawmakers to add more stuff for us in CIR. I dont think we can be priority when this CIR things will start.. we had only chance for last year that we lost. ( HR 5882 ). As CIR storm begins in next year it will be in our favor to go with it.. ( I dont tihnk so we even have choice ). we are in such minority against illegal people that hardly they will notice us but becasue of business ( Corporate ) only they will add some stuff for us. I heard recently on NPR ( and on CNN ) china is back on sending student again. US unis giving more visas to raise money from fees so NAFSA will also try to add some for US educated.

    Guys. Assuming the same set of conditions as being discussed in this thread (Intent to change employers, I-140 already approved etc..)... Would I be able to retain my PD even if I change my field when I move to a new employer (shift from IT to Marketing after getting my MBA).

    Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
