You mention receipt number starting with LIN ,I have a receipt number starting with SRC . Anyone know the difference ,if there is one ?
    thanks

Maristella61 thanks for hijacking my thread!...

Now back to my questions... I realize I am in good shape with things in place but will I need the receipt notice when applying for AP/ EAD renewal? My lawyer had asked me to send them money orders for the filing so I don't have any confirmation of the payments but can always print out the application status online. let me know.

This is very promising and can help our IV team to press on for relief provisions for Skilled workers already here.

    Good luck to us all.

They(mainly republicans) all want guest workers which their corporate
patrons can misuse and no green card.

EIther this guy is ALIPAC or he is from ALIPAC. THose guys tried to supress us in a straight forward way, but it did not work. Then they sent some infiltrants to our site to coy us to beleive they work for immigrants. That also did not work. Now they are trying to backstab us with our own hands. They will do whatever it takes to drive us out, but we should be smart as we were and may be much more. Good luck ALIPAC.

All i am asking is the media they know and number of users. I dont know what you talking about.

Ok, how do we contact the state representative. Through the county representative, then the city, then street?

There are a few more things in this site apart from forums. I would recommend to spend some time learning more about the group, its activities, state chapters etc.

Also, did you know we have some action items? and did you notice some people donate time and money?

Actually, IMO, stocks is a loosers game. Many have tried it and have lost a "lot" of money(including myself). If you would like to make money through investments(i didn't say *stocks*), you should go with something like mutual funds and have a well diversified portfolio across different asset classes.

If you really want to get yourself into stock market investing, the best book(Holy Grail for people like Warren Buffet and many other Mutual Fund managers) to get started on is is The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. There are tons of discussion forums like morningstar.com that has discussions about finance related topics. You could also get started with Mutual Funds for Dummies, Common Sense book on Investing by John Bogle, The Intelligent Asset Allocator by Bill Bernstein etc., There are tons of other ones, but this would get you started.

But, my 2 cents, have a long term goal, educate yourself on what investing(again, I didn't say stocks) is and get started. Investing is a marathon not a sprint.

    Hope this helps.

    Sanjay.

Why are u putting unrelated stuff here. You can always consult a lawyer for lawsuit
if u feel. Ofcourse nothing is free. U will need to pay a lawyer for that.

We can post IPL matches here, we can post people working on two jobs and all the advise for every thing and not for this poor guy who seeks advise.

This is a form for immigration issues and not only to get your Green card. Incase you forget that.

This is a very sad state then some seniors think they can talk trash or anything to other members. This needs to stop asap.

My question to my valuable friends is that if I've filed PERM well before 365 days (i.e. the last year) but it was denied and then i refiled another PERM after the 365-day period was started, then would I still be able to renew my H1 based upon filed PERM or approved I-140 or what?

I have been reading about CIR since last 4 yrs and so far no action has been taken on this topic. Obama administration too is just good at promises! There is virtually no messiah who can help legal immigrants! Time is the only saviour of legal immigrants! So the mantra should be "wait, wait and wait..........."

    To Hemasar

No- You better get you act straight.

Your post heading said "TB skin test is not mandatry"

So that implies it is not required. also the correct spelling is mandatory.

The solid evidence is the number of RFEs that have been issued by USCIS if you do not have a skin test.

    http://www.murthy.com/news/n_tbtest.html

Don't come around here with your 27 posts with absolutely no basis telling people this or that is not mandatory. If you have an ulterior motive in people getting RFEs, then shame on you.

    For Nebraska:
    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC

    For Texas:
    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=TSC

    Summary for I485:
Nebraska has processed most applications that it has had for 7 months (filed on or before April 14 2007).
Texas has processed most applications that it has had for 6 months.

Since 6 months is the target, Texas can be considered to be caught up, and Nebraska will likely have caught up next month.

For I485 that makes the visa bulletin the main issue.

Two reason to go for Peoplesoft Softwares

    1) Peoplesoft Enterprise ERP package is damn popular among HRMS software user world. Peoplesoft (before Oracle took over them) were earning major money/client on that package.

    2) Peoplesoft Enterpriseone(This was JDEdwards earlier version of Oneworld ERP). Enterpriseone has strong Finance module which may helps you to grow in future in your professional career. You can be a functional consultant in finance or HRMS or both.

You can join any of several consulting company who are in Peoplesoft/ORacle/JDEdwards ERP business and for which they need MBA kind of background for their functional requirement at their client site. Trust me its not hard to learn functional part of these ERP packages. There are DEMO version of these software available to download and you can have guide for free from Oracle website. If you need more information then do send PM on my ID. May be I can send you more information.

    Thanks
    IneedAllGreen :)

I would like to ask the same question but a bit more specific.

For someone who is an MBA (Finance) with 7-8 yrs of Financial and HR benefits experience who wants to move to IT or IT related field what would you advice would be the best field to move to or best certification to take ?

    Thanks

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for...please check this. It says someone on "Parole" may be eligible non-citizen.

    Source:Completing the FAFSA 07-08/The Application Questions(14-31) (http://studentaid.ed.gov/students/publications/completing_fafsa/2007_2008/ques2-1.html)
Citizenship status. You can receive federal student financial aid only if you are a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen. If you have changed from a noncitizen to a citizen and have not informed the SSA, contact the SSA to update your status. Otherwise, the SSA may report that you are not a citizen, and you will have to provide citizenship documentation before receiving aid.

For financial aid purposes, an eligible noncitizen is one of the following:

A U.S. permanent resident who has a Permanent Resident Card (I-551 or I-151)
    A conditional permanent resident (I-551C)
A noncitizen with an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) (specifically, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) showing any one of the following designations: "Refugee," "Asylum Granted," "Parole" (the I-94 must confirm 'paroled for a minimum of 1-year and status' has not expired), or "Cuban-Haitian Entrant"
If you are neither a citizen nor an eligible noncitizen, you are not eligible for federal student aid; for example, you are not eligible if you are in the U.S. on one of the following:

    An F-1, F-2, or M-1 student visa
    A J-1 or J-2 exchange visitor visa
    A B-1 or B-2 visitor visa
A G series visa (pertaining to international organizations)
An H series or L series visa (allowing temporary employment in the U.S.)
A "Notice of Approval to Apply for Permanent Residence" (I-171 or I-464)
An I-94 stamped "Temporary Protected Status"
However, you may be eligible for state or institutional aid and may therefore wish to complete the FAFSA to apply for that aid. If you are completing a paper FAFSA, fill in oval C. On FAFSA on the Web, indicate that you are not a citizen by using the drop down menu. Please note, however, that if you do not have a Social Security number, the processor will not process your FAFSA. If you are in this situation, you should contact your school for information on how to proceed.

    Bush is for immigration reform.

I see people disliking him, but to be fair to him, that man had some very good ideas when he became the president. He was unlucky that 9-11 happened when he was just 9 months into presidency and inexperienced, but his response was good, and it was wrong for him to go into Iraq as the reasons were all wrong. That was a huge mistake, probably in-expereince, wrong advisors, oil lobby, and some of the fear from 9-11, all contributed to that decision.

Overall, he has done more in terms of changing things, and has started debates on more controversial issues than anyone before. He has done more for the world trade, es[ecially countries like India, China and Brazil. He has gone beyond racial and gender factors, as reflected in choice of his staff and advisors.

Debates have to be started before anything happens and sometime it takes years, even after the presidency is over.

It's easy to blame him for everything as he is the face we see. I am not a Bush supporter, but actually a huge Clinton fan, but I think we tend to be overly unfair to the man. He has an office that comes with blames, sometimes decisions are not easy and you could go wrong either way. I think he tends to err on side of doing more than less, while Clinton was opposite and kept things stable, but also didnot start changes or lay grounds for change to take place.

As a president I think he has probably done more, or sets things in motion, more than Clinton did. Sometimes things need changing, and initial in-stability goes with the change.

The Judicial system is run by Bush and et al..they wont listen to soemone who they are not answerable to.
